Frankie Headshot

Frankie Richards graduated from UNT with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2007. Following graduation, he went straight to work as a set builder and production assistant at a local commercial photography studio. There he was able to learn the intricacies of sweeping floors and taking lunch orders, as well as small details, like lighting. These skills prove incredibly useful in production work as well as at home.

Frankie left the photography world and meandered in to the broadcast television industry when he joined the crew of A&E’s Find and Design as a production assistant for its final season. While honing those production (and lunch ordering) skills, he also starred in one episode, which led to the realization that his true calling was behind the scenes.

The show ended, but not the gig. Frankie stayed on with the production company as equipment manager and location grip, where he continued to learn the ropes of the DFW corporate video world. As his interest in sound engineering grew, he started working around town on indie projects as a freelance audio operator.

At AMP, he gets to split his time between equipment room master and microphone maven on crew and corporate shoots.
