Where her imagination goes, Kristen Montoya follows, and no job is too big. That is how she came to own a house that didn’t come with a working kitchen, and a tub that drained into the dirt!
Kristen spends her days happily buzzing around AMP, getting sticky in all kinds of projects. On a given day, she might be called on to climb to the roof of skyscrapers, source plastic snakes, or wrangle her coworkers into depression era costumes.
Visually inclined, Kristen got her start in the arts, working as a fine art conservator, and heading up her own faux finish company. Her husband was her first employee! Not to be outdone, he began his own photography business and the tables turned. Kristen began assisting him with matters of location scouting, art direction, and equipment lugging.
At heart a true planner, Kristen will take any opportunity to take charge and put on her “bossy pants”, just as long as they are comfortable. Creating visuals and planning projects is what Kristen does best. She has the desire to see the project from start to finish, enjoying the brainstorming and number crunching as much as she does hammering, even if that means a broken nail or two.
