Russ Johnson began his career in Los Angeles, working with a notable line-up of media organizations, including Upper Deck Entertainment, Studios USA, and Sam Raimi’s Pac Renaissance.  He managed production for the physical effects house Optic Nerve Studios during their Emmy Award-winning season working on the cult science fiction series Babylon 5.  Working as a visual effects producer, Russ supervised the creation of the opening title sequence for Warner Brothers’ acclaimed animated series Justice League, and guided the development of effects sequences for the offbeat indie comedy, The Hebrew Hammer.

He was providing content for Scripps’ fledgling Fine Living Network when he decided to accept an offer working in his home state of Texas.  Since his return to the Lone Star state, Mr. Johnson has worked on a variety of television projects, among them serving as head writer for 2 seasons of the hour-long documentary series The Genesis of Healing. He also developed a second reality-based series, The First Step, for Brushfire Films. These programs currently air on the healthy lifestyle network, Veria TV, where Russ was eventually hired as a supervising producer.  He left the network to join AMP, where he is currently guiding the development of their new slate of original programs.

And when he can find time, Russ provides his services as Master of the Pratfall to local live theater productions.
